Fairly considered as one of the most beautiful resorts in the world, Megève owes its international character to the fact that it is served by a remarkable transport network.
Lying 55 minutes from Geneva international airport (via the Geneva-Chamonix motorway: Sallanches exit) and the international railway station in Geneva (direct Paris / Geneva links by high speed TGV train), it is also connected by motorway to the major cities in Europe, such as Milan, Brussels, Amsterdam and Paris.
Travelling to the hotel Au Coin du Feu
- From Geneva (70 km), take the “autoroute blanche” direction Chamonix Mont-Blanc. Exit in Sallanches , direction Megève/Albertville, you are 12 km away from Megève.
- From Paris (600 km), take the A6 motorway until Bourg en Bresse, then the A40 motorway, direction Geneva/Chamonix Mont Blanc, exit in Sallanches; you are 12km away from Megève.
- From Lyon (180 km), take the “autoroute blanche” direction Chamonix Mont Blanc, exit in Sallanches, follow direction of Megève, you are 12km away from Megève.
On your arrival in Megève
- If you are coming from Sallanches, Combloux, stay on the RN 212 in direction of Albertville. At the first roundabout at the entrance of Megève, carry on straight through to the 2nd roundabout. Then take the third exit following the sign “La Poste”. Continue straight on for approximately 500 meters until a small roundabout (Sport 2000 shop). Take on your left, direction “Rochebrune Cable Car”: the hotel is at 300 m on your right.
- If you are coming from Albertville or Praz-sur-Arly, at the entrance of Megève, at the first roundabout, take the second right in direction of the city centre (centre ville). Drive on to the 2nd roundabout. Then take the first right towards La Poste. Continue straight on for approximately 500 meters until a small roundabout (Sport 2000 shop). Take on your left, direction “Rochebrune Cable Car”: the hotel is at 300 m on your right.
